Musculoskeletal Ultrasound
Musculoskeletal ultrasound is a painless method for diagnosing soft tissue injuries and problems. This can be used successfully to diagnose all forms of work and sports injuries, guide injections, and provide insight into all forms of soft tissue (muscle, tendon, ligament, and cartilage) painful conditions. It is available in the office of Dr. Thatcher using a Sonosite ultrasound machine.
The exam is completely painless, and involves using gel and sound waves, similar to an OB Gyn using ultrasound to view a developing baby or fetus.
